PratibhAsa – Anthology in dance

“Glimpses of Blue” offers an immersive journey into the poetic souls of revered literary figures, showcased through the captivating artistry of Bharatanatyam. Through the eloquent expressions of Bharatanatyam, this production intricately threads the stories embedded within the verses of celertaed poets and writers from Indian history and presents an evening length exploration of the artistic depths of these poets – their ‘PratibhAs.’

As the dancers fluidly move and emote, the stage becomes a canvas portraying Andal’s fervent devotion to Lord Vishnu, Adi Shankaracharya’s profound philosophical musings, and Bharathiyar’s fiery patriotism. Meera Bai’s unconditional love for Krishna, Jayadeva’s lyrical compositions, and Kshetrayya’s evocative poetry of love and longing are vividly brought to life through the graceful gestures and emotive carefully and rhythmically expressed through Bharatanatyam.
